24 Hours of Le Mans
The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans, set for June 13–14 at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, promises to be one of the most anticipated editions in recent memory. It marks the 94th running of the race and falls within a globally expanded FIA World Endurance Championship calendar. Among the major headlines is the debut of Genesis Magma Racing, Hyundai’s premium performance arm, which becomes the first Korean manufacturer to enter the top class at Le Mans. They will compete with two Oreca-built LMDh hypercars, with high-profile drivers including André Lotterer and Pipo Derani.
Established giants like Ferrari, Toyota, Porsche, Peugeot, BMW, Alpine, and Cadillac are all expected to return, continuing the deep manufacturer rivalry that has fueled the recent Hypercar era. The regulations, now locked through 2032, provide stability for teams and fans, ensuring a highly competitive grid.
2026 may also witness a transformative moment in motorsport, as the ACO opens the door for hydrogen-powered vehicles to compete in the main race. Toyota’s GR H2 prototype could become the first of its kind to race at Le Mans, though there remains some uncertainty about whether these entries will be fully ready by race day or deferred to 2027.
With technological innovation, historic firsts, and a grid stacked with global talent, the 2026 Le Mans race is shaping up to be a landmark event in endurance racing.
