Clapnation Operating Systems

We analyse, design, implement and operate the human operating systems that shape how people move, think, feel, interact and behave within live environments.

What We Do

The operational systems behind how people experience live environments.

Clapnation Operating Systems are designed to improve the human side of live environments.

We design, plan and implement operational systems that improve how guests and staff move, interact, make decisions and experience a space or environment. Every system is built around human behaviour, behavioural psychology and operational best practice, helping create environments that are easier to navigate, simpler to operate and more enjoyable for everyone.

How We Work

Every Clapnation Operating System is designed from two perspectives.

The Guest Perspective

We walk through the environment as a guest would.

We identify where guests are likely to become confused, overwhelmed, uncertain or frustrated. We analyse how they move through the environment, where they naturally look, how they make decisions, how they respond to queues, how different spaces influence their emotions and what they are most likely to remember.

We then design operational systems that make the journey feel clearer, easier and more intuitive.

The Staff Perspective

We analyse how staff influence the guest experience through their positioning, behaviour, communication and interactions.

We determine where staff should be positioned, how many staff are required, when they should engage with guests and how they can help guide movement, answer questions, regulate pressure, reduce uncertainty and improve the overall operation.

What Our Operating Systems Improve

Every operating system is designed to improve how people experience a live environment.

Helping Guests Move with Confidence

Guests should always know where to go, what to do and where to find assistance.

Our systems improve.

  • Guest journeys

  • Crowd flow

  • Queue flow and queue design

  • Wayfinding

  • Information placement

  • Decision points

  • Bottleneck management

Helping Guests Feel Comfortable

The way an environment operates directly influences how guests feel. Our systems help reduce stress, confusion and frustration while creating environments that feel organised, welcoming and easy to navigate.

We consider.

  • Emotional regulation

  • Emotional pacing

  • Energy zoning

  • Energy transitions

  • Cognitive load

  • Decision fatigue

Improving Staff Performance

Staff play a critical role in the guest experience.

Our systems ensure staff are positioned correctly, know when to engage with guests and support the operation where they are needed most.

We improve.

  • Staff positioning

  • Staff Headcount Planning

  • Staff Optimisation

  • Staff behaviour

  • Staff communication

  • Human interactions

Designing Around Human Behaviour

People don't always behave the way we expect.

Our systems are designed around how people naturally think, move and make decisions, allowing operations to feel more intuitive and effective.

We apply.

  • Behavioural psychology

  • Guest behaviour

  • Decision-making

  • Memory design

A Selection of Clapnation Operating Systems

Design. Plan. Implement.

Every Clapnation Operating System is designed specifically for the environment, operational objectives and guest journey.

We design the system, plan its implementation and deliver it live alongside our operational teams. Throughout the operation, we monitor performance, make adjustments and continuously improve how guests and staff experience the environment.
