FIFA World Cup, USA, Mexico and Canada
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This will be the first time the tournament is held across three countries and the first time Canada will host World Cup matches. The tournament will feature 48 teams, an increase from the previous 32, divided into 12 groups of four. The top two teams from each group, along with the eight best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stage, resulting in a total of 104 matches.
The tournament will be held across 16 cities: 11 in the United States, including Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, and Los Angeles; three in Mexico, including Mexico City and Monterrey; and two in Canada, Toronto and Vancouver. The final match will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19, 2026.
The ticket sales for the tournament are expected to begin in September 2025, with fans able to register for updates through the official FIFA website. The event will be broadcast by Fox Sports and Telemundo in the United States, and CTV, TSN, and RDS in Canada.
