The 2026 Commonwealth Games are scheduled to take place from July 23 to August 2, 2026, in Glasgow, Scotland.This marks the city's second time hosting the Games, following the successful 2014 edition. The official mascot for the Games is a unicorn named Finnie, a tribute to the Finnieston area of the city. Designed by 76 children from 24 local schools through the Mascot Maker initiative, Finnie sports a horn inspired by the iconic traffic cone placed atop the Duke of Wellington statue outside the Gallery of Modern Art, a humorous nod to a quirky local landmark.
